If you’re a college/graduate student who is obsessed with literature, pop culture and the sweet, sweet world of book publishing, then we’d love for you to join our team! We are currently looking for a fall intern to work with our editorial department from September to December 2014.
The ideal applicant will have a strong academic record, a demonstrated interest in book, magazine and/or web publishing, and previous internship experience in the industry. This is an unpaid position, for school credit only. Candidates must be enrolled full-time in college or graduate school for the Fall 2014 semester and be receiving credit for their internship.
Internship responsibilities include assisting Black Balloon Publishing staff with the production and marketing of books, writing blog posts and reading manuscripts.
Requirements:
Enrolled full-time in college or graduate school
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Previous internship experience in publishing required; marketing or public relations experience preferred
